1, the phenomenon of failure: driving the instrument board ABS fault indicator light is always bright, the brake system without anti-lock function.
2, check the diagnosis: the first brake test: the car accelerated to 60km / h-8Okm / h, quickly depress the brake pedal, then four wheels at the same time locked, the road left a clear brake marks, ABS system does not work, the brake system only conventional brake function.
A. With a wire short-circuit diagnostic socket TC and E1 (ground) two terminals, open the ignition switch, then the dashboard yellow ABS fault indicator light, but not flashing, do not output fault code, indicating that the ABS system ECU Failure of control function or damage to ABSECU. Check the relevant fuses ABS (60A), ECU-IG (15A) and DOME (20A) are all good.
B. Because the car has been cleaned before the repair, it is suspected that there may be water infiltration into the ABSECU caused by ABSECU failure. But the dashboard of the yellow ABS fault indicator light has been lit, has been a long time. For the sake of caution, the ABSECU was still inspected. Remove the ABSECU, found the surface of the water, indicating that ABSECU may also have water inside. After removing the cover on both ends of the ABSECU, it is found that there is water in the inside, which means that the ABSECU may be inaccessible due to water infiltration. First, the ABSECU in the water with compressed air dry, and then carefully check the integrated circuit board and the main electronic components, did not find any defects, it is estimated ABSECU is not damaged.
C. Insert the ABSECU harness connector and use the ABSECU fault self-diagnosis system to check for faults in the ABS system. Check that the ABS fault indicator on the dashboard is still on, does not blink, and does not output a fault code.
D. Check the ABS system control circuit and found:
A) Brake warning light to the ABSECU on the 8 # between the wire disconnect, so that ABSECU can not receive parking brake and brake liquid level alarm signal.
B) ABS system fault indicator to the ABSECU on the 7 # terminal between the wire break, and ABS fault indicator wire short to the ground, which caused the ABS system fault indicator light is always lit, can not output the fault code, so that the ABSECU fault from Diagnostic function is invalid.
C) The conductor disconnect between the 9 # terminal of the ABS system control relay and the 27 # terminal on the ABSECU causes the motor relay and the solenoid relay in the ABS system control relay to not operate, resulting in failure of the entire ABS system.
D) ABS system actuator A3 terminal to ABSECU 15 # terminal between the wire disconnect, so that ABSECU can not receive the brake oil pump motor signal.
Above is the cause of the failure of the ABS system.
3, repair measures
First use the multimeter to check the above-mentioned connection wire break and short circuit of the specific parts, and connect them, bandaged; and then review the multimeter once again to confirm the connection is reliable, good continuity. After repairing the fault, fix the ABSECU, insert the harness connector and install all the accessories. Clear the fault code (connect the TC and E1 terminals in the diagnostic socket with the lead wire, turn on the ignition switch, and press the system quickly within 3s. Move the pedal more than 8 times, you can clear the ABSECU stored in the fault code). Then turn on the ignition switch, the instrument panel on the ABS fault indicator light, the engine starts off.
For braking performance test and driving test:
A. The motor is braked at 40km / h or less, and the ABS system is still a conventional brake function.
