Question: a Bora 1.8T, open the ignition switch, press the brake pedal after the shift lever button can not go on, not for other gears. Only in the case of not open the ignition switch first press the shift lever button, and then open the ignition switch to start the car, and finally hung up the brake pedal start driving.
Analysis: This car design intent is that the car must be set off after the brake pedal to allow the shift lever from the P block or N block removed, to avoid the brakes and not directly linked to the block, so that the vehicle out of the accident.
Shift lever lock solenoid valve N110 control shift lever button, open the ignition switch, N110 positive electrode to get 12V voltage, N110 negative by the computer will be 29-pin ground, N110 pull, shift lever button does not move, shift The rod is locked.
Shift lever button to press the conditions are: 1, do not open the ignition switch, N110 does not pull, shift lever button is not locked. 2, open the ignition switch, N110 power lock, but depress the brake pedal, the brake light signal into the computer 15-pin, the computer will be 29-pin connection with the ground disconnect, N110 release, the button can be pressed; More than 5 km, the computer disconnects the 29-pin ground connection. N110 release of the fault is not open for two reasons: 1, step on the brake pedal after the negative N110 can not be disconnected from the ground; 2, because the N110 locking mechanism is plastic parts, easy to deformation stuck. This car is checked by the brake light fuse, resulting in the computer can not receive the brake light signal, so the N110 anode is always connected with the ground.
Solution: replace the brake light insurance, troubleshooting.
Note: When encountering this fault should first check whether the brake light is lit, to shorten the troubleshooting time.
