1.EGR alarm light
After the necessary maintenance, press the reset button to extinguish the EGR alarm. For Jetta, GTi, Rabbit, Cabriolet, Golf and Scirocco cars, remove the instrument panel cover and remove the end of the metal Wire, through the upper left corner of the speedometer on the mouth, pull the left side of the counter separation arm, so that the alarm light goes out. The reset module is located near the speedometer cable.
2. Emission control system (ESC) indicator
When the ignition switch is set to "ON" position, the ESC indicator will light. At the end of the engine start, if the self-diagnosis system does not detect a fault, the indication will go out. After the necessary diagnosis and repair, the system fault code should be cleared. At this time, the alarm light will automatically go out.
3. Oxygen sensor alarm light
After completing the appropriate maintenance operation as specified, press the reset button to turn off the oxygen sensor. For the Fox, Jetta, Rabbit, Cabriolet, Golf and Scirocco cars, remove the instrument panel cover and pull the wire with the end of the hook through the orifice of the upper left corner of the speedometer to pull the separation arm on the right side of the counter So that the alarm light goes out. The reset module is located near the speedometer cable.
4. Maintenance tips light
For the 1993-1996 Cabriolet, Golf, GTi and Jetta cars, the corresponding maintenance lights will light when the vehicle needs a maintenance operation. The system uses a permanent memory, even if the battery cable is broken, the information will not be cleared.
The maintenance light is in the display window of the odometer. After the ignition switch is placed in the "ON" position, the following lights will light for about 3s: IN00, no maintenance warning light; OEL, 12068km / 6 months replacement engine oil; IN01,24139km / 12 months inspection and maintenance ; IN02, 48278km / 24 months inspection and maintenance.
