Symptom: a FAW Bora (BORA) 1.8 sedan, after a traffic accident, the car co-pilot airbag burst out, but after the replacement of dual airbags and airbag control unit, the dashboard on the airbag fault indicator often Bright and faulty code output.
Troubleshooting: After inquiry, the vehicle has not coded the airbag control unit after replacing the dual airbag and airbag control unit, since the FAA (BORA) 1.8 has to replace the airbag control unit The airbag control unit is coded. For this purpose, use the fault diagnosis VAG1552 to encode the new airbag control unit via 1-15-07-00000. However, when the airbag control unit is encoded, the airbag fault indicator on the instrument panel is still on, and there is a problem with the airbag control unit.
The old airbag control unit installed on the car, with VAG1552 read the fault code and found that there are three fault code: 00595 - storage after the crash data; 00588 - airbag N95 resistance is too large / SP; 00589 - N131 passengers Airbag resistance is too large / SP. Through 1-15 into the airbag control unit, read the original code is 12622. Install the new airbag control unit to read the fault code, no fault code output, through 1-15 into the airbag control unit, read the original code is 00000.
The new airbag control unit removed with the old airbag control unit for comparison, found two airbag control unit models are not the same:
The old airbag control unit model is: 6Q0909601, ZNA2RBAGVW5006COD12622WSC00000;
The new airbag control unit models are: 1C0909601, ZNA2RGBAGVW5K43120COD00000WSC00000.
It can be seen, the two airbag control unit of the signal is not the same, which may be caused by the airbag fault indicator light is the main reason. When asked about the special service station, the two airbag control unit models are not the same, but the new airbag can be used, but must be re-airbag control unit code for the "12875".
Install the new airbag control unit, encode the airbag control unit with VAG1552, encode it as "12875" and commission, troubleshooting.
